AFAICT this does not seem to affect the new pdf files generated by Hummus.

I understand this wish. I think we should simply remove the fullpath and leave the filename. Any Pdf file comes with some metadata, also those generated by pdfTeX. I put this into the wish list.

Exporting a PDF file includes private information in the file, such as the path of the temporary postscript file. From this the author can be identified, which is unwished when writing, e.g., peer review reports.
