Yes, that will work as well.  Thanks.
Is there a specific goto command?  This is how I did it, since I only stay in Insert Mode:
(d-ClassicMode)
(d-B)
(d-AddNoteToChord)
(d-InsertMode)

Would not
Shift-A
for Add the note A to the preceding note as part of a chord be good?
You would do this by scripting (goto A, cursor left add to chord, cursor right).

I don't know if this is possible already, but I was thinking that this might be a faster and easier way to create chords in insert mode.  There would be a command called Merge Into Chord which would take the two preceding notes or chords and merge them together into a chord.  So here's how you could enter a C Major chord, if you bind this new command to [enter]:
c e g [enter] [enter]

After the first enter press, you would have lilypond c <e g>, and after the second you'd have <c e g>.  This eliminates the need to move the cursor around and then press the key for inserting a note into a chord, which would have been more keypresses.
Not too sure what should happen if the two preceding notes have different durations or one is a rest.  Maybe just do nothing in that case or possibly enter them as simulaneous music.
It would be nice too if there was a command to undo the merge in case you hit it accidentally.
