crosscompiling should have been fixed by applying patches from bug 43223

./configure --host=arm-unknown-linux-gnueabi
(or any other cross compiler) does not work, as the configure script attempts to run a number of test programs locally.

This has been fixed by users of screen by a variety of hacks, for example
(which essentially removes the exit from all relevant failing tests.)



(Note: upload size limit is set to 16384 kB, after insertion of the required escape characters.)
