We are using the ghostscript version 8.6.3 in AIX 5.3.3 to print the PDF's. When we execute the ghostscript command and do the lp command, we get a job id as if the request has been generated in the printer. However there is nothing printed at the printer. However a simple text file is been printed successfully by the lpr command.

We were using the version 7.0 in AIX 4.3 earlier, however as a part of the AIX upgradation project, there came a need to upgrade the ghostscript version as well. Now, this is the issue we are facing. We were creating PDF's of version 1.3, but now we are creating of version 1.6.

Ghostscript version: GPL Ghostscript 8.63
Hardware system used: HP Laser Jet Printer
Operating used: AIX UNIX 5.3.3
C compiler used: IBM XLC compiler
Performed the following steps to install the ghistscript:
./configure
make
make install

Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated!! We are stuck onto a point where we need to get the print out of the PDF's anyhow and cant move ahead without them.
