Marking as duplicate of bug #44590 and bug #49554 which cover both an m-file stub and the manual.

Is this a duplicate of bug #44590 or bug #49554, the fact that there is no classdef documentation at all?

As can be read in bug #50367,
now also octave supports the new way to specify classes
as matlab does.

This is not yet documented.

Also, seemingly, bug #50367 does not occur with the new notation.
I think this is one reason for documenting it.
