According to [1], we shouldnt need the keys in 32bit.

So I pushed up a change to not refresh the keys in 32bit, and to add the build32 repo.

Also happens on the GitHub runners when using the 32-bit builds from Kai's buildbots, E.g.:
https://github.com/gnu-octave/octave-buildbot/actions/runs/3759574342/jobs/6389303605#step:8:48

gpg: connecting dirmngr at '/etc/pacman.d/gnupg/S.dirmngr' failed: IPC connect call failed
gpg: error retrieving 'alexey.pawlow@gmail.com' via WKD: No dirmngr
gpg: error reading key: No dirmngr
gpg: connecting dirmngr at '/etc/pacman.d/gnupg/S.dirmngr' failed: IPC connect call failed
gpg: keyserver refresh failed: No dirmngr
==> ERROR: Could not update key: F40D263ECA25678A

And similarly for the remaining keys.

i can see that error if I run the stuff from /etc/post-install/07-pacman-key.post manually after (which would likely happen if the installer timed out)

it looks like it is working for me - although I am using the latest msys2 push I did, and am running the 32bit version on a 64bit machine.

It does take a while though

Could this old thread still be related?

dirmgr should be installed with the msys2 gnupg package

it used to work, so dependancies should be ok - my guess would be that one of the keyfiles are no longer available (since using the non official msys2 32bit)?

Ill take a look

When running the `post-install.bat` script from MXE Octave with a 32-bit build, it takes very long updating the distributor keys and ultimately fails to do so for all of them.
The messages that are appearing in the command window during that time look similar to the following:

gpg: connecting dirmngr at '/etc/pacman.d/gnupg/S.dirmngr' failed: IPC connect c
all failed
gpg: error retrieving 'alexpux@gmail.com' via WKD: No dirmngr
gpg: error reading key: No dirmngr
gpg: connecting dirmngr at '/etc/pacman.d/gnupg/S.dirmngr' failed: IPC connect c
all failed
gpg: keyserver refresh failed: No dirmngr
==> ERROR: Could not update key: 5F92EFC1A47D45A1

Are we missing some dependency for this to work correctly?

CC'ing John Donoghue.
