Could we rename the shortcut from "Blas Switcher" to "BLAS Switcher". That is the letter case they use themselves:

Pushed https://hg.octave.org/mxe-octave/rev/f7f10f198735

For anyonyone testing, it needs configure to be run to update the generated makeinst-script.sh script

I'll take a look.

At a quick look from google, potentially something similar to functionality from here [1] may work

Marking it so that it would run as admin when installed for everyone sounds like the perfect solution for me.

Probally only thing can do at that point would be set some notification or mark it so that it has to run as admin when installed for everyone

I can confirm. (Forgot to report this when I noticed.)

The tool has to "run as admin" when Octave is installed in "Program Files".

Should we just document that? Or is there a way to have it automatically request elevated rights if this is necessary?

Thank you for this new feature, just a small observation.

If mxe-octave is installed in "C:\octave" as before Octave 6, it works fine.  But due to default MS Windows permission settings, this tool does not work in the new default installation location in "C:\Program Files\GNU Octave" (access denied).
