The reported problem has been fixed in CVS. The cell now registers itself, and not the control view, for this notification and the handling method has been moved to the cell.
This does not resolve all problems with popup bottons in tables. For example the key handling for the menu is still implemented on the control view. But using the mouse only should work now.

Well basically custom cell (like NSPopupButtonCell, NSComboBoxCell etc.) support with NSTableView doesn't work currently (I doubt it ever worked).
I hoped to correct this issue but I haven't found the time until now.

When using an NSPopUpButtonCell as the dataCell of an NSTableColumn, the following exception occurs when clicking on the PopUpButton in the running program. This happens if you set the dataCell through Gorm or using setDataCell: in source code
