Fixed in git, commit 6d828cf4, by putting the code meant for overwriting the verbatim feedback in the routine for verbatim input, so that it will not affect other cases.

To reproduce, run:

src/nano --ignore --zero -x NEWS

Then type: ^]. There is no feedback.  But nano should say there is no word fragment.
Then type: qq ^].  Again there is no feedback.  But nano should say there are no matches.

Bug exists since the last commit, 511a2850, that fixed bug #61541.  It will be better to limit that forced redraw to just the case that it wanted solve: verbatim input.
