In the GRUB2 documentation, in section 5.1.1 I found this:
FIXME: this section is incomplete.
I know sometimes is hard to keep track of all FIXMEs and TODOs, but at least this one is (in my humble opinion) easy to fix. It's just a matter of copying and pasting the contents of the section 4.1.1 of the legacy documentation from the older version of GRUB:
