Before version 2.6.2, typing M-[ would pause for a second and would then report: "Unknown Command". Since then, typing M-[ reports "Unbindable key". However, there is little reason to leave M-[ unbindable. The keystroke may not work when used in a macro or when typed when nano is stalled, but it will work fine in the normal case: when just typing at a responsive machine. So... allow the user to bind this keystroke when he or she wants to. |

(M-O is an escape-sequence starter too, and nano allows using that keystroke, so why not M-[? The risk for unexpected behavior when used in a macro is quite a bit higher, but still... the advantage of having an extra possible keystroke outweighs this, in my opinion.)
