To reproduce, configure nano with --with-slang, compiler, and then run 'src/nano --ignore --suspend'. Then type ^Z. See that there is no cursor. Type fg and <Enter>. Note that the cursor is at the start of the status bar. Type any key. The cursor jumps back to where it should be in the edit window.
