Commit 4d77e0ad makes nano first try 'hunspell' before trying 'spell'.  Hunspell understands UTF-8, and it will by default check the text against the language of the user's locale.  The latter is a behavior change and may not be what current users of an unconfigured ^T expect, but... we'll see what happens.

Fixed in git, commit 576502a5.

But immediately comes the idea: maybe nano should try running 'hunspell' first, because it can handle UTF-8, whereas 'spell' cannot.  It's silly that 'spell' chokes on words like "Qué" and "será", seeing only "Qu" and "ser".

On Manjaro, I cannot find out how to install the GNU spell package.  It does not seem to be available.  See https://www.archlinux.org/packages/?q=spell .

It does seem to be available in the AUR (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/spell/), but installing from there requires jumping through hoops -- not something one can expect from a beginner.

So... it would be nice if nano would try to run 'hunspell -l' when running 'spell' fails.  Hunspell seems to get installed by default, or gets pulled in when the user installs some kind of spell checker.
