To reproduce, run on an 80-column termninal :

  src/nano --ignore --soft --line  +77 doc/faq.html

Then type: M-R software <Enter> xx <Enter>

See that the highlighted piece "ware" is placed in the space reserved for line numbers, instead of four columns further.

Bug exists since version 2.7.1, when line numbers were introduced.  (But in version 2.8.1 and 2.8.2 the bug was briefly worse: the whole highlighted "software" was placed on the next row.)
