To reproduce, run:

  src/nano --ignore --view README

Then type: ^W ^R

Result: the statusbar shows "[ Key is invalid in view mode ]" and nano has returned to the main menu.  This is confusing.

Normally, when a key is struck that is invalid in some menu, nano just beeps and stays where it is.  Nano exits from a menu only when typing ^X or ^C, or when valid function is executed.

Expected behavior: nano should just beep when ^R is pressed in the Search menu when in view mode.
