When having invoked the linter and using --nohelp, it is rather unclear what is happening.  Forcing the help lines on will help the user realize that nano is in some different mode now, and in addition will show which keystrokes can be used to jump to a different message.  (The help text should probably show PgUp and PgDn as secondary keystrokes, instead of F7 and F8.  And extra bindings of <Ctrl+Up> and <Ctrl+Down> won't hurt either.)

Furthermore, it would be helpful if the message on the status bar were differently colored -- coloring it like a normal message just makes the user want to ignore it.  Coloring it like an error message is not right because it would make the user think something went wrong.  Using the title-bar color would make it look like a prompt.  But using the 'selectedcolor' instead could be nice -- in linting mode any existing selection is cancelled so nothing is selected, and the shown error message is kind of "selected" from amongst the found messages.  But the different color will be sure to draw attention.

For still more hints about the changed mode, the title bar could change, becoming similar to the one in browser mode, but showing "Linting in:" instead of "Dir:".
