if you use a web worker for major (or even moderate) non-async functions, then those processes will run in a separate process that doesn't block the browser, tabs or pages. see this page for info about web workers in mozilla extensions:

i think that using web workers would be a really big deal for this extension.

if it's due to the parser, or anything really, maybe you could run those jobs in a web worker.

using Abrowser version 61.0.1 and LibreJS version 7.16 then LibreJS will hang for a few seconds at a time if the JavaScript hasn't been whitelisted.
