To reproduce, run 'src/nano --ignore' on a NetBSD install, and type: Ctrl+Shift+Delete.  Result: an "[ Unknown sequence ]" message on the status bar with the cursor sitting after it.

Solution: add an extra wnoutrefresh(edit) after repositioning the cursor after writing that message.
