Yes, is true.
But the time used  in the computer turn  not used  only with thinking but also with  moving.
If the speed of the moving  is  slowed  and the time of the thinking is small is almost impossible to stop the game if the player cannot move by some game reason.

Try stop the game in the old version of the game. The STOP means stop, whatever are doing the computer (thinking , moving or having fun ... :))  .

I'm not entirely sure what the problem is, the stop button is only active when the computer is thinking.  At other times there is nothing to stop.

Please supply some more info on what the issue is.
