Hello,

I dearly apologise for not repying recently. I have been away, and have not been able to access Savannah.

If you need to approve the project with the source code, then I probably should wait a bit more until I have some of the source code finished. I'll re-register once I get fragments finished, and I shall show you the soure.

Once again, I dearly apologise for my absense.

Hi,

I am waiting for an answer from you.

If within one week I still do not get a reply, I will remove your project. You will still be able to register it again once you have the time to deal with the registration issues.

Are you still willing to host your project at Savannah? If not, please tell us - we don't bite, and it will make us gain time.

Regards.

Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

We prefer to approve project with source code, so we can check it for legal issues (even non-functional code is OK). We will among others check if the source files contain appropriate copyright notice and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every copyrightable file. Our review helps catch potential legal issues early.

If you need Savannah right now, please explain us why; otherwise, please resubmit the project when you have source code.

If we approve your project without source code, we will review the code in the near future (or better, at your request). If then the source code does not meet our requirements (for example, non-free dependencies), we will then discuss the issue and possibly remove the project from Savannah.

Do you need the Savannah services now, and if yes do you agree with the above conditions?

Regards.

######### REGISTRATION DETAILS #########

Full Name:
----------
  NovelWrite

System Group Name:
-----------------
  novelwrite

Type:
-----
  non-GNU software & documentation

License:
--------
GNU General Public License V2 or later

Description:
------------
I plan on writing a software program which would help novel authors with organisation, localisation, and management of chapters. This software I plan on calling NovelWrite. NOTE: I do not have the source code written at this moment, but I am to start within this or the next month.
The features I wish to include:
[*]Easy management of novel writing.
[*]Automatic chapter addition/modification/subtraction
[*]Add Prologues/Epilogues/Forewards/Introductions/Conclusions/etc.
[*]Archiving and compression to easily transfer data between media, such as the internet, or via disks.
[*]Mary-Sue test, to stop authors on writing "fantasy" stories revolving around themselves and making themselves the greatest thing ever to happen in the story
[*]Character Profiling
[*]Brainstorming area, allowing you to create digital concept maps and/or outlines of your story, on either a chapter level or on the entire novel.
[*]Password protection of projects, so only you have private access to your story.
[*]Exporting to other formats - HTML, PDF, ABW (for AbiWord), SXW (for OpenOffice), RTF, Plain Text (TXT), etc.
[*]Translation - create a sister project on the localisation of your novel.
[*]Spellcheck
[*]Rough Drafts, Final Drafts, etc.

NovelWrite will save the "novel" as a project. It will go on this basis:
[*]Folder/, like My Documents, where a Project can be stored.
[*][*]Project Folder/, containing data files for the "novel."
[*][*][*]mynovel.nov (data file will be a "nov" file. Will include information like book title, summary, etc.)
[*][*][*]include_data/, where chapter data and such is stored.
[*][*][*][*]brainstorm/ (brainstorming area)
[*][*][*][*][*]outline.txt (story outline)
[*][*][*][*]prologue/, or ch*/ (where * is any number), or introduction/, or epilogue/, etc.
[*][*][*][*][*]pro.abi, or ch*.abi (for chapter), intro.abi, epi.abi, etc. (this is where the utilisation of AbiWord comes in)
[*][*][*][*]abandoned/ (where abandoned concepts go)
[*][*][*][*][*]pro_aband.abi, ch*_aband.abi, etc.
[*][*][*][*]images/ (where images may be stored that the author uses, usually in JPG format)
[*][*][*][*][*]image.jpg (image itself. name may very)
[*][*][*]lang/ (language variations of the book if the author has made some)
[*][*][*][*]Language name (fra, spa, en-us, etc.)
[*][*][*][*][*](all the other tiers like in the project root folder go in here. e.x. .../lang/spa/include_data/prologue/prologue.abi)

Please remember that I do not currently have any source code written, but I may start within this month or the next.

Other Software Required:
------------------------
  abiword (http://abisource.org/)
