Hi,

We did not get a response from you, so we deleted your project from the pending queue.

If you would still like to have your project hosted at Savannah, please register it again.

The re-registration URL found in our acknowledgment of your earlier registration will direct
you to the proper location where you can re-register your project.

Regards.

Hi,

I am waiting for an answer from you.

If within one week I still do not get a reply, I will remove your project.
You will still be able to register it again once you have the time to deal with the registration issues.

Are you still willing to host your project at Savannah?
If not, please tell us - we don't bite, and it will make us gain time.

Regards.

Do you mean the contents of those packages README and which liscense (GPL,
LGPGL) that they are under? Sorry, I'm all new to this kinda stuff. Also, i'm
just re-using the binaries that where included in the original code. As I type
this I ma trying to find replacements for these binaries so I will have access
to thier lisence's and such.

As for my COPYING file, I have downloaded the newer one you refered me to. It
will be in the next version I upload later today. I was jsut reusing the
COPYING that came with the original source that I'm basing TeriBBot on.

I uploaded a newer version earlier this evening, as of me sending this to
you, it doesn't meet the requirements you have stated to me, but later today,
I'll re-upload it with the changes. You can find the updated bot and more
compliant code http://www.linuxchics.org/dl/tbb/tbb-0.4.tar.bz2
but please wait until after 5pm EST before the more complaint code can be put
up.

Hello.
Please use this tracker item "https://savannah.gnu.org/task/index.php?func=detailitem&item_id=4735" to reply, not the standard Savannah messaging system. Thanks. :/

The binaries in your project aren't the problem. But you are not the copyright holder of those ones. So you have to write a README file with the copyright and license notices of them.

So you should go to the ncourses team and download there the source code, then you'll have a look at the COPYING/LICENSE file to know the license of it, and then at the copyright of the files [for example].

At second, please add the FULL permission-to-copy statements on the top of every file of source code.
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html could helps you.

Hi,
I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

At first, if you distribute binary files with your project you have to add a README file in the directory of the binary files and write there the copyright and license notices of them down.

At second, in order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the GPL,
please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every file of source code.

In addition (your COPYING file is too old - the address of the FSF has changed) please include a copy of the plain text version of the GPL, available from http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt, into a file named "COPYING".

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.

The GPL FAQ explains why these procedures must be followed.
To learn why a copy of the GPL must be included with every copy of the code, for example,
see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhyMustIInclude.

And at last, for your doc directory:
In order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the LGPL,
please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every file of source code.

In addition, if you haven't already, please include a copy of the plain text version of the LGPL,
available from http://www.gnu.org/licenses/lgpl.txt, into a file named "COPYING".

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/lgpl.html#SEC4.

######### REGISTRATION DETAILS #########

Full Name:
----------
 TeriBBot aka Teri's Bash Bot

System Group Name:
-----------------
 teribbot

Type:
-----
 non-GNU software & documentation

License:
--------
GNU General Public License V2 or later

Description:
------------
TeriBBot, which stands for Teri's Bash Bot, is a IRC bot written almost entirely in bash. The only non bash part of the bot is netcat, which is used to make the connection to an IRC server (which i also supply in binary form in the tarball). The current version (as of this request) can be found at http://www.linuxchics.org/dl/tbb/tbb-0.3.tar.bz2
The bot is operational, but still very rudimentary, I hope to one day have it rival bots written in what many feel are superior languages. TeriBBot was origianlly based on thebot (original author shudder <shudder@gbg.bg> at least as far as I can tell) and is quickly becoming a completely different bot. For a little extra security, when a bot admin authenticates with the bot, it uses crypt'd passwords (which i also provide a crypt binary in the tarball as well).

Other Software Required:
------------------------
The only dependancies, other then what should be included with normal operation system would be netcat, and crypt, but included in the tarball of the bot are binaries of both applications.
