Hi!
Now copyright holder is right!
Coopi is a legal entity that can be assigned copyright :-)

Bye now!

Hello. :-)

Is the copyright holder (GnuCoopi) refered to in the copyright notices, a legal entity that can be assigned copyright?
If not, you need to add the author(s)' name(s) instead.

Check http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/Copyright-Notices.html
for more information, and update your files.

Hi,

I am waiting for an answer from you.

If within one week I still do not get a reply, I will remove your project.
You will still be able to register it again once you have the time to deal with the registration issues.

Are you still willing to host your project at Savannah?
If not, please tell us - we don't bite, and it will make us gain time.

Hello.

I wonder a little bit, you wrote for the "SdlDotNet.dll" the FDL permission-to-copy statements.

Was/Is this really released under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License?

Hello.

At first, please remove GIF image files from your project and replace them with an other format (such as PNG or JPEG).

Because of the patents (Unisys and IBM) covering the LZW compression algorithm which are used when making GIF files,
it's impossible to have free software to generate proper GIFs.  These patents also apply to the compress program.

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/gif.html.

At second, about your binary files.
pixmaps/: Please include in this directory a README file and write there the copyright and license notices for your PNG/JPG files down. See also
http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/Copyright-Notices.html

./: For the .dll files please write in your ./README file the license and copyright for these files down (in a {sub}section e.g.).

Hello.

Boths, the "Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 2.0 license" and the "Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 license" are incompatible with the GNU GPL and the GNU FDL.

If you have the choice: Don't use boths.

The license team recommends using the Free Art License <http://artlibre.org/licence/lalgb.html>, but it is incompatible with the GNU GPL and GNU FDL as well.

Check also our license page:
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/license-list.html

But you can distribute the ogg-vorbis (thanks for using a free audio format) files under the GNU GPL if you would like to. ;)

Beside that, I don't received any files from you. :(
Can you please re-send it to me, or attach the files on this tracker item?
Thank you so much. :-)

Sebastian Wieseler <kickino>

Hi,

i send you the package. We would distribute some ogg-vorbis files with the Creative Commons License (Attribution-NonCommercial or Attribution-ShareAlike)... there are some problems about that ?

Hello.

At first, your files lack information about the copyright.
Please have a look at
http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/Copyright-Notices.html

At second, please include a COPYING file into your project.
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt

At third, ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll has got a GPL exception.
So please include this exception in every file of source code, too.
(http://www.icsharpcode.net/OpenSource/SharpZipLib/Default.aspx ->'License')
You had to follow this instruction, because your program links again this library.

Hi Sebastian.

These are the urls :

SdlDotNet http://cs-sdl.sourceforge.net

ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll:
http://www.icsharpcode.net/OpenSource/SharpZipLib/Default.aspx

At this time there's no public code release. I'll send you by email.

Thanks a lot.

Bye now.

Hi,
I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

At first, I cannot find out the license of your .dll-dependecies.
Which project includes these dll files? Or can you please point me to them directly?

At second, please include a (perhaps temporary) URL pointing to the source code.
The description you gave when registering will not be read by the general public.
If you are still concerned with privacy, however, you can forward the code to me by email.

We wish to review your source code, even if it is not functional, to catch potential legal issues early.

For example, to release your program properly under the GPL you must include a copyright notice and
permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every file of source code.  This is explained in
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.  Our review would help catch potential omissions such as these.
