Hi,

I have approved your project.  You will receive an automated e-mail containing  detailed information about the approval.

You are right about the Debian part, but the operating system is called GNU/Linux, GNU/Hurd, etc. not only GNU. You should have a look at: http://www.gnu.org/gnu/gnu-linux-faq.html#justgnu

Regards.

Thanks for reviewing the code.  I've changed all the parts you suggested.

> Please send a tarball with the source code, I don't like reading from CVS.

I'd expect that doing a cvs checkout (using anonymous pserver) would be ok?  Anyway, I attached the updated version (which is also in my cvs now).

> For future notices (not only with Savannah), please refer to Debian as Debian GNU/Linux, the apropiate name.

Um, no.  Most of Debian's platforms are GNU/Linux, however there's also Debian GNU/Hurd, and work is being done on Debian GNU/kFreeBSD (a GNU system with the kernel of FreeBSD underneath).  When I say "Debian", I mean the whole project,
not just the GNU/Linux parts of it.

I'd prefer just saying GNU instead of GNU/Linux, which would be usable for Debian as well (because at least at this moment, all platforms are GNU).  However, people seem to find that confusing, so I usually just say GNU/Linux.  Or Debian, which is also appropriate most of the time I'm talking about it. :-)

Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

The address of the FSF has changed, and is now:

51 Franklin Street, Fifth Floor, Boston, MA  02110-1301  USA

Please update your license notices.

Please update the copy of the license (usually, the 'COPYING' file) in your package as well.

Updated versions of the GPL, LGPL and GFDL can also be found at:
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/lgpl.txt
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.txt

You can find some background and a possible migration script at
https://savannah.gnu.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=3766

In order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the GNU GPL, please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every file of source code:

configure.in (optional, but recommended)
arrowpix.h
borderpix.h
iconpix.h
markpix.h
barpix.h

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.

If some of your files cannot carry such notices (e.g. binary files), then you can add a README file in the same directory containing the copyright and license notices. Check
http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/Copyright-Notices.html for further information. So you need to add a README in the art directory.

The GPL FAQ explains why these procedures must be followed.  To learn why a copy of the GPL must be included with every copy
of the code, for example, see
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhyMustIInclude.

Please send a tarball with the source code, I don't like reading from CVS.
For future notices (not only with Savannah), please refer to Debian as Debian GNU/Linux, the apropiate name.

Regards,
Davidlohr Bueso A.

Hi,

I got tired of patching, so I set up a temporary cvs repository on my own host:
:pserver:anonymous@129.125.47.90/var/lib/cvs
module gfpoken

The latest source can be found there at the moment.

Thanks,
Bas Wijnen

######### REGISTRATION ADMINISTRATION #########

While this item will be useful to track the registration process, approving or discarding the registration must be done using the specific "Group Administration" page, accessible only to site administrators, effectively logged as site administrators (superuser):

######### REGISTRATION DETAILS #########

Full Name:
----------
  GFingerPoken

System Group Name:
-----------------
  gfpoken

Type:
-----
  non-GNU software & documentation

License:
--------
GNU General Public License V2 or later

Description:
------------
GFingerPoken is a logic game.  You are given a grid in which invisible mirrors are present.  The player throws balls into the grid from the sides, and observes where they come out again.  The goal of the game is to guess where the mirrors are in the grid.  It can be played with one player, or over a network with two players.

My current source code is at http://129.125.47.90/~shevek/debian/gfpoken/.
There are some Debian-specific features there which I would remove for hosting here.  The game is available with Debian (at least for GNU/Linux, I'm not sure about the other ports)

Other Software Required:
------------------------
  Gtk+ 2.6, X11

And for building it currently needs:
automake, gimp, imagemagick, blender, netpbm, bsdmainutils

Other Comments:
---------------
I am the maintainer of this game in Debian.  The original author does not plan to work on it anymore, nor do any releases.  I did quite some changes, most of which are not Debian-specific.  I would like these changes to be available to users of other systems (in particular other GNU/Linux distributions, I'm not sure how portable it is to other platforms) as well.  That's the reason I want to host the project here.
