I've added the licence to each source file and documentation file, and added a short statement to all non-trivial files according to GNU documentation.

I've uploaded the latest tarball to http://olivier.sessink.nl/jailkit/jailkit-cvs-2005-07-30.tar.bz2

regards

Olivier Sessink

Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

Please add copyright and license notices to all of your source and documentation files. Since the modified BSD license is so small, it is OK to add it directly instead of the license notice in the headers.

For documentation, we recommend using the GDFL or any free license.

If you are willing to make the changes mentioned above, please provide us with an URL to an updated tarball of your project.  Upon review, we will reconsider your project for inclusion in Savannah.

To help us better keep track of your registration, please use the tracker's web interface following the link below. Do not reply directly, the registration process is not driven by e-mail, and we will not receive such replies.

Regards.

Description:
------------
Jailkit is a set of utilities to limit user accounts to specific files using chroot() and or specific commands. Setting up a chroot shell, a shell limited to some specific command, or a daemon inside a chroot jail is a lot easier using these utilities.

Jailkit can be used on CVS servers (in a chroot and limited to cvs), sftp/scp servers (both in a chroot and limited to sftp/scp as well as not in a chroot but only limited to sftp/scp), and also on general servers with accounts where the shell accounts are in a chroot. Jailkit is furthermore used to jail daemon processes, for example apache servers, bzflag servers, squid proxy servers, etc.

The daemons and shells only need libc and libpthreads, available on almost all GNU/Linux systems, and many other Unix like systems. The install and check utilities are written in python, and therefore you need to have python installed. Older versions of jailkit required gnu libc, but from version 1.0 jailkit should not require a specific libc anymore (gnu libc is recommended though). Jailkit is confirmed to work on GNU/Linux, OpenBSD, FreeBSD and MacOSX.

The software can be found on
http://olivier.sessink.nl/jailkit/jailkit-1.3.tar.bz2
and has a modified BSD licence.
