Hi,

We did not get a response from you, so we deleted your project from the pending queue.

If you would still like to have your project hosted at Savannah, please register it again.

The re-registration URL found in our acknowledgment of your earlier registration will direct
you to the proper location where you can re-register your project.

Regards.

Hi,

I am waiting for an answer from you.

If within one week I still do not get a reply, I will remove your project.
You will still be able to register it again once you have the time to deal with the registration issues.

Are you still willing to host your project at Savannah?
If not, please tell us - we don't bite, and it will make us gain time.

Regards.

Hello.

We are waiting for your updated tarball.
The things mentioned in previous mails (https://savannah.gnu.org/task/?func=detailitem&item_id=4407#comment1)
are not yet done.

Upon review, we will reconsider your project for inclusion in Savannah.

Regards,

Sebastian Wieseler <kickino>

I'm sorry - what are you waiting for, exactly?
I would indeed like to host my project at Savannah,
but I don't know what more you need from me.

Hello.

Yes of course, we can change the status of your project to "non-GNU".

I suspect it will be impractical for me to
meet the requirements for a gnu project
in the near term.  Can the project be reclassified
as nongnu?

Hello.

It is no problem to put the glibc patch directory under the LGPL, and everything else under the GPL.
Feel free to do so.

And please provide us with an updated tarball.

Sure, the LGPL and GPL are compatible,
but if I use a GPL'd patch on glibc,
the resulting glibc is GPL'd, which
wouldn't sit well with my users.

Can I put the glibc patch directory
under the LGPL, and everything else
under the GPL?

And yes, I understand I need to clarify
the status of each patch.

Hi,
I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

If you have got dependence with the patches (LGPL), there is no need to put the whole project under the LGPL, because GPL and LGPL are compatible licenses.
But I wonder a little bit, because the patches do not have any notices about the license. As far as I know the patches need information about copyright holder and license, too.

Some of your shell scripts lack information about license and copyright. In order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the GPL, please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every file of source code.

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.

The GPL FAQ explains why these procedures must be followed.
To learn why a copy of the GPL must be included with every copy of the code, for example,
see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhyMustIInclude.

Your documentation files do not have any notices, too. We adviced to use the GNU FDL for your documentation files.
In order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the FDL, please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements after the title page of each work.

In addition, if you haven't already, please add a copy of the FDL
(available from http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.html in various formats) as a section of your works , and as plain text in a file named 'COPYING' (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.txt).

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.html#SEC4

http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl-howto.html also covers additional points,
including a smaller notice that you can use in auxiliary files

And last, the address of the FSF has changed, and is now:

51 Franklin Street, Fifth Floor, Boston, MA  02110-1301  USA

Please update your license notices.

Updates versions of the GPL, LGPL and GFDL can also be found at:
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/lgpl.txt
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.txt

Please update the copy of the license (usually, the 'COPYING' file) in your package as well.

You can find some background and a possible migration script at https://savannah.gnu.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=3766

The project's been going for about two years.
I'm interested in Savannah for bug tracking,
and because Robert Schwebel really wants me to start
using a version control system :-)
