Hi,

We did not get a response from you, so we deleted your project from the pending queue and from our system.

If you would still like to have your project hosted at Savannah, please register it again but with source code.

The re-registration URL found in our acknowledgment of your earlier registration will direct
you to the proper location where you can re-register your project.

Regards.

Hello.

We still would like to review your source code.

If you don't want to use CVS at the moment because of "Planning status" then please forward the code to me per mail or attach it to this tracker item or use the file area, ... but please show it to us.

When we approved your project, we made it clear that we would review it in the near future, to check its compliance with our policies.

Please reply as soon as possible to this tracker. If within one week we still do not get a reply, we may close the account.

Regards.

Sebastian,

I will check-in the code today.
I just wanted to finalize (more or less) the code
structure since CVS is not very refactoring-friendly.

thank you,

Irakli

Hello.

We would like to review your source code, but we noticed that your CVS tree is still empty. Are you still working on this project or should we remove it?

Please tell us about the current status of this project.

Regards,

Sebastian Wieseler <kickino>

Hi,

I have approved your project for inclusion in Savannah.

We will be reviewing the cvs code in a month (or better at your request) to check if the source files contain appropriate copyright notice and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every file of source code. Our review would help catch potential legal issues early.

You should get an automated email with more information shortly.

Regards,

Sebastian Wieseler <kickino>

Sebastian,

sounds great! I will be checking-in code into a Savannah CVS repository, if you can give me one, and will try my best to comply with all your policies, as it is in my best interests.

It is my first project with Savannah so, while I have read your regulations and have a general  idea, if there is something more to it, I will appreciate your guidance.

Thank you and I believe there will be no problem.

Irakli

Hi,

Your projects meets the Savannah requirements, except that we cannot review your source code yet.

We can approve it, and review the code in the near future (or better, at your request).
We will among other check if the source files contain appropriate copyright notice and permission-to-copy statements
at the beginning of every file of source code. Our review would help catch potential legal issues early.

If then the source code does not meet our requirements (for example, non-free dependencies),
we will then discuss the issue and possibly remove the project from Savannah.

Is this ok for you?

Regards,

Description:
------------
The project purpose is to facilitate free speech on the  internet through the use of the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcasting">Podcasting</a>. The intended name of the project is PodCommunity.

Software package is in the design phase and code development will begin as soon as the project is registered. It will be built using a free programming language: PHP and will run with a GPL database system: MySQL. The license of the PodCommunity, itself, will be GPL, of course.

The software does not do any audio encoding or processing whatsoever, hence does not have to deal with any audio formats, free or no, in any way. All it does is manage and publish RSS 2.0 feeds (which include enclosure definitions to be podcasts).

The idea of the software is that it will manage a community of Ppodcasters. Right now most of the podcasting software (not many, by the way and mostly proprietary) just allow individuals to publish content. We believe that the real power is in community podcasting. For example: a group of experts who want to cover world economic development. Each of them does a podcast but their podcasts are grouped and presented as a community to the end-users. This way users do not have to subscribe to each podcast individually but will have a feed of all podcasts of the community, or they will be able to choose which podcasts to combine, depending on their interest.

We believe that thematic podcasting is much more powerful concept than individual podcasting and people are asking for such software package, as they can find none. We also believe that there is no better place this software to be hosted than where free software itself resides.
