Hello.

So can you please provide us with the new tarball? Or do you still need time, which should be no problem for us, but please tell us about your situation now.

Regards,

Hello.

First, note that Savannah supports projects of the Free Software movement, not projects of the Open Source movement.

We are careful about ethical issues and insist on producing software that is not dependent on proprietary software.

While Open Source as defined by its founders means something pretty close to Free Software,
it's frequently misunderstood.  For more information, please see http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-software-for-freedom.html.

Second, please include a (perhaps temporary) URL pointing to the /whole/ source code (including the pictures).
If you are still concerned with privacy, however, you can forward the code to me by email.

We wish to review your source code, even if it is not functional, to catch potential legal issues early.

By the way, 700kb / 2MB is okay for hosting on Savannah.
But we need the source of anything you will upload to be uploaded at Savannah as well.

Regards,

Sebastian Wieseler <kickino>

hmm, well, at first I had assumed that svannah was to host opensource projects in the way that sf.net does (please correct me if I'm wrong). Yes, hosting only the souce code would be an option, the only problem is I can't find a place to host my pictures (or should I say my project) from berlios I havn't herd back and sf.net rejected my project (and I can't find a way to provide a more detailed description as that is what they wanted).

O, oops! I just looked on the file again and it's 700KB! :P sory about that! and it only amounts to 25mb when I also include all the blend files xcf images and animation source (all of which I won't provide in order to keep the download size down). And also, that 700kb is uncompressed.. but it will go up (not above 2mb any time soon) as I will be adding a campain and more planes.

And yes, all those images are mien (created with the gimp and blender). I also plan on using my oun music (once I get the recording equipment).

Hello.

First, 700MB are a lot of space and our resources are limited. So how do you plan to use Savannah?
Maybe we can only host the source code and not all the pictures?

And last whom does the pictures belong to? Are they freely available?

I have sent you an email with the entire program in working order. Sory if it's too big (700mb), but it requires all the pictures to run properly.

Hi,
I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

Please include a (perhaps temporary) URL pointing to the source code.
The description you gave when registering will not be read by the general public.
If you are still concerned with privacy, however, you can forward the code to me by email.

We wish to review your source code, even if it is not functional, to catch potential legal issues early.

For example, to release your program properly under the GPL you must include a copyright notice and
permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every file of source code.  This is explained in
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.  Our review would help catch potential omissions such as these.

Regards,
