I've updated each source file with a gpl comment at the top, and added a COPYING file.

Please find the updated tarball as an attached tgz.

Hello.

Can you provide us an updated tarball, please? We had to
check for the COPYING file and the missing copyright notices until we can approve your project.

Regards,

RE: Copyright notices
Understood,
I had planned to do this on approval of the project.

RE: CVS instead of SVN
Not a problem, cvs is fine for me.

RE: Why separate from GSL
GSL is maintained primarily by Brian Gough, and he has set up an
extension system for developing 'proposed' extensions to GSL.  MSL is working toward the level of stability guaranteed by GSL, but it's not there yet.  Later as code becomes more mature it may migrate into the official GSL distribution.

Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

In order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the GPL, please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every file of source code.

In addition please include a copy of the plain text version of the GPL, available from
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt, into a file named "COPYING".

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.

The GPL FAQ explains why these procedures must be followed.  To learn why a copy of the GPL must be included with every copy of the code, for example, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhyMustIInclude.

I've seen a directory '.svn' from your Subversion-System. I should tell you that Savannah do not provide any Subversion-System at the moment (we provide only CVS).

Why do you have choosen to provide your project seperated from GSL?

Regards,

Sebastian Wieseler <kickino>

The goal of this project is to develop extensions to the GNU Scientific Library of particular relevence to research in machine learning, especially in audio signal processing and language processing.

Project Summarization

So far, four extensions have been written:

1. Core: generic routines defined on "official" GSL data-types.  For example, it defines many more vector/matrix operations.

2. DSP: routines for processing 1-dimensional digital signals (mainly audio).

3. NNET: routines for fitting neural networks to data.

4. DATA: routines for managing data sets.
