Hi Tom,

First at all, apologize for the delay in answer.

Well, as I see you want to change the name of your project right? the
new name it will be 'ec-cms'? please confirm this.

To be part of the GNU project, your project must be evaluated first,
and depending on that your project can be approved or not.

On the other hand, may be for my delay on see your answer, but I
cannot download the releases > v1.0beta, can you upload it to this
tracker please?

Hello,

The problem I have is that I developed TSE Webshop as a fork on Phpshop for a company called TSE. Since the company felled appart in a dispute (between me and the only other employee - the company was our project) I wanted to put the code save so I could still work on it and so could others. My ex-collegue has been trying to prevent me from doing so. What I would like is to know how I could make sure the code (which was developed as gnu/gpl) belongs to the gnu project and is thus save from harm. But I still want to be the main-maintaner of the project. I have my own fast web-server to host the project (and dedicated documentation). Is there a way to become a official (in the sence of registrated) part of the gnu?

For now, I am working on further cleaning the code (the word TSE has to be erased from the project.).
I opened a new website for the project I renamed EC-CMS (e-commerce and cms application suite) "http://www.polemian.org/ec-cms/" When the TSE company split up I was finnishing the work on a secure payment system. That code has never been released but will be soon.

When the project is registrated as gnu project and the name TSE does no longer appear inside of it, the legal issue will be gone. (I hope). The latest code release can be downloaded at the tse website ("http://tse.polemian.org/webshop/") -> go to releases > v1.0beta.

regards,
tom.

Hi Tom,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

Looking your webpage I found a notice that you cannot release more
your project for legal issues, can you provide us with more
information about this point? or if you still want to host your
project at Savannah?

On the other hand, can you provide us with an URL to download your
last release? or if you prefer you can upload it to this tracker.

We wish to review your source code, even if it is not functional, to
catch potential legal issues early.

For example, to release your program properly under the GPL you must
include a copyright notice and permission-to-copy statements at the
beginning of every file of source code.  This is explained in
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.  Our review would help
catch potential omissions such as these.

Description:
------------
[GNU-WEBSHOP is a free php webshop. It builds upon existing gnu code and projects and It is standards compliant.]

The main goal of the project is to remain working on the existing code to build a more reliable, flexible and extensible application.
Previously the project was named TSE Webshop (a fork of phpwebshop) and it was registred on sourceforge and freshmeat.

GNU-WEBSHOP has to become what TSE Webshop had to become: international, standards compliant, secure, and totaly free (free as in no external  libraries/extensions are explicitly required). It's already a GNU/GPL project.

More information and pre-releases can be found at: "http://tse.polemian.org/webshop/".

Other Software Required:
------------------------
Current codeline needs php running on an apache server with gettext support and some php extensions (mainly for xml and mysql handling).
Also it needs a MySQL server (at least 3.23.x because of encryption functions).

Other Comments:
---------------
GNU-WEBSHOP will probably be the new name of the project I have been working on the last 6 or more months. I always treated it as GNU.
