For some reason I though the submitter was Karl...

List created, members imported, fencepost:/com/mailer/aliases commented.

You just need to configure the list to suit your needs.
You should have received the list password by mail.

Hi Karl,

Mailman has precedence over fencepost, so I suggest you do the following:
- create a mailing list using mycreatelist.pl
- remove domains/gnu.org
- configure the list
- mass subscribe all existing members
- add back domains/gnu.org
- remove the fencepost alias
- notify us (with this tracker) so we can add the list to the Savannah project.

kickino: /com/mailer/aliases is 666 :)

Hello.

Let's have a try to help you. ;-)

We don't have any privilegs to move/delete this mailing list from fencepost. You should ask a fencepost admin first to cancel this mailing list (or do it yourself as long as those files belong to you) so that there aren't any "conflicts" and then we can have a try to set up a mailing list with the same name on lists.gnu.org
Would you accept this procedure?

After setting up the mailing list you can add a members via the "mass subscription"-feature of Mailman. Right?

Hello, there is such a mailing list in existence. It is an old list (that's why I want to transfer it to Savannah) with no features. It lies on fencepost.gnu.org in the file "/com/mailer/aliases". (In this file we edit the members, via ssh.)

Now I would like to have a mailing list on Savannah for our translation project to use the advantages. If it is possible, I would like to keep the name of the old ML.

Thanks,
Richard

Hi,

There doesn't seem to be a -email is unavailable- list in existence. Could you clarify more precisely what you meant, and what you would like please.

Regards.

Hello,

I want you to create a mailing list quickly manually.

there is a (provisional) mailing list named "web-translators-de@gnu.org" which doesn't run over Savannah. While I just wanted to create a Savannah mailing list (to use the advantages) I thought to keep the name of the old one. Is that possible? And could you create it and transfer all the members of the old one to the new one?

Thanks in advance,
Richard
