You can export the data using the rsync read-only access (check your project main admin page).

Aside from that, I'd recommend starting a new CVS module, and optionaly rename the old one (instead of erasing the data) -  you see.

Near, no. Future, yes :)

You might want to contribute better SVN integration in Savane (automated&moderated CVS conversation, automated&moderated dump upload...) :)
