I think it should be signed (I always use signed archives for my personal use); do some people have issues with that?

I don't personally care about email notifications, and that can be set up later anyway.

Thanks,

These are not real email addresses.  The current format is projectname@sv.gnu.org; for emacs it would be emacs@sv.gnu.org.

I'd simply create the main archive, which would be -email is unavailable- and project members may commit via sftp.  The  ssh keys you have listed on Savannah are used.

http://arch.gnu.org/guide.html gives a crash-course in how to use Arch on Savannah.

All I need to know is whether you would like the archive to be signed and if you want email notifications on `tla commit`.

I currently maintain a mirror of the Emacs sources in my personal repository (miles@gnu.org--gnu-2005).  I'm also an emacs developer (and an admin for the normal savannah emacs project).

I'd like to setup an "official" arch repository for emacs.

A few questions:

  (1) What are the standard repository names used?

From looking at few existing projects, they seem to
use the form "PROJECT@sv.gnu.org" -- i.e. only the
email-address; is this correct?  Are those actually
real email addresses (that get forwarded or something)?

  (2) How do people gain access to the repository?

I presume it's available via both http and sftp; how
can a developer be granted commit access via sftp?

Thanks,

-Miles
