I tested , and the video there uses the unsupported AVM2 format. This is ActionScript 3, and the missing support is tracked in bug #107225.

Most animation at the mentioned site have syncing issues. I tried many different configurations, but to no effect.

Also, seems to be not very compatible yet.

But it seems VERY compatible with youtube. Congratulations! starting in pause mode and being able to set up the version allows better bandwidth management for capped users and faster video streaming (hardly any video in yt is worth the HD anyway).

So, thank you very much. It has been a joy to use this software.
