There is still time to register for the eighth GNU Hackers' Meeting, which will take place from August 15 to August 17 2014 in Munich, Germany.

The GNU Hackers' Meetings are an organized, yet friendly and informal opportunity to discuss technical, social and organizational issues concerning the GNU project.

The meeting is open to existing and prospective GNU developers, and anyone who has an interest using, promoting or otherwise helping out with the GNU system.
GNU developers, users  and other interested parties are invited to address the meeting.
In the past, the audience has been technically competent, and very technical topics are usually well received. However, topics of a non-technical nature are also very welcome.
As well as talks about social, ethical and administrative issues concerning GNU, presentations about new features to existing GNU software and proposed new GNU packages are on topic.
Members of the GNU evaluation team will be present, so if you have a project which you are considering contributing to GNU, this would be a great opportunity to present it and get feedback.

Social interaction with other GNU Hackers is of course part of the deal!

Registration is necessary but free of charge.  There will be the opportunity to make a donation to the cost of future meetings.

For further information and details of the registration procedure, see http://www.gnu.org/ghm/2014/munich/.
