Item posted by Simon Josefsson <jas> on Sun 24 Apr 2011 04:50:11 PM UTC.

Libidn is a fully documented implementation of the Stringprep, Punycode and IDNA specifications. Libidn's purpose is to encode and decode internationalized domain names and provides native C, C# and Java libraries.

The announcement is here:
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/help-libidn/2011-04/msg00006.html

In brief:

  • build/gettext: Demand gettext >= 0.18.1 in order to get newer M4 files.
  • build: Improve MinGW cross-compile makefile, see win32/libidn4win.mk.
  • build: Visual Studio files fixed to define LIBIDN_BUILDING.
