Hi,

we tested screen (version 4.0 - 4.2) on FreeBSD 7.0 , 8.4 and 9.3.
I could not reproduce this bug.

Can you test new version?

Hi,

we have this problem on at least two machines, starting screen without any options causes it to hang after displaying the welcome text. "[Press Space or Return to end.]"

Only way out is to kill it from another terminal.

If you start it with any options like 
screen -t title
screen  bash
screen -fn  etc then it works no problem, it only hangs when there are no options.

OS:  8.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 8.2-RELEASE #0
screen version: Screen version 4.00.03 (FAU) 23-Oct-06

When I run truss I get lots of errors like this:
