This fixes my problem with extra blank lines being added. Why hasn't 2.2.11 been officially released? It seems to be part of various Linux distributions, but can't be used by things like Homebrew because there is no tarball...

Fixed in 2.2.11, not released on the GNU server, but available in the code repository. Will also be in the next GNU release.

On http://indent.isidore-it.eu/beautify.html they state that the bugs has been fixed in 2.2.11 but on ftp://mirrors.kernel.org/gnu/indent/ there is no such official version.
