I use everyday compose key with TeXmacs, Qt or X11 version,  without experiencing bug.

As far as "multi-key" is concerned, I don't know what it is (if it isn't compose key) and didn't find documentation on the subject.

So, for me it is no more valid.

No answer, this wikipedia article ("Microsoft Windows and OS/X do not support a compose key by default, therefore the key does not exist on most keyboards designed for modern PC hardware.") and comments in the qt forum lead me to think this might be a "Won't fix".

Comments?

Is this bug still valid?

The normal method for X applications to enter accentuated
characters (like german umlauts) is to use the multi-key
which is defined in the X configuration file, or by an
xmodmap. TeXmacs does not understand this multi-key, except
when it happens to be identical with one of hyper or alt
(which is often, but not always, the case).

Please note that multi-key is not a modifier key. Hence, it
is currently not possible to configure texmacs such that
it understands the multi-key.
