btw i found what you were talking about.  The example in the bug report was a bad choice

INTERVAL is not included as it is not required as its value is 1.  This is RFC 2445 compliant, well on my reading of it anyway.

I see the INTERVAL section int the debugs:

Array

    [freq] => 5
    [byday] => MO,TU,WE,TH,FR
    [interval] => 1
)

But in the output, there is only:

RRULE:FREQ=WEEKLY;BYDAY=MO,TU,WE,TH,FR

I've attached the relevant file output with debugging turned on.
