Thanks for the bug report.  We've looked into it and it seems that this is indeed a problem with the documentation.  (Probably the "reject" script it refers to was removed in some previous version of STUMP, and the maintainer forgot to update the corresponding documentation.)

We'd welcome any contributions from you.

A "reject" Perl script is mentioned in etc.dist/README, in the paragraph titled "rejection-reasons.lst" and also the paragraph titled "messages", with instructions to refer to the script itself for detailed documentation.

Also, in usage.html, there are specific instructions to "edit file etc/reject and edit part that consists of calls to subroutine addReason."

I failed to find the file anywhere in the 2.4 or 2.5 tarballs. I also searched for the identifier addReason but found nothing. I also tried to track down older tarballs but had no luck.

This seems to be either a documentation bug or a missing file.

Also, if this project is still active, I'd be happy to contribute.
