Should use a "semantically insignificant" reserved line prefix, so it can still be understood by older reseq that can't interpret this information.

Of course, this would be primarily useful if the script command were recording these things. Since it's not, there may be little we can do.

locale settings may also be relevant. TERMCAP, too, if present.

Also maybe boolean values from terminfo/termcap, to allow for later possibilities of adjusting output on different terms.
