Currently all args on the command line are put into files.

So do implement this we would have to have a separate delimiter for ::: input sources.

This is too much work for too little benefit: It only helps if filenames contain \n.

The workaround for the user is to use -0.

Using -0 does the right thing.

parallel -0 echo ::: a* ::: 1 2

Can -0 be in effect for all ':::' while -d is different for :::: ?

A better test:

touch a'
'b
seq 2 | parallel echo ::: a* :::: -

If filenames given on the commandline contains newline, GNU Parallel does the wrong thing.

touch a'
'b
parallel touch {} ::: *
ls -l
