Similar behaviour confirmed, but I think this is to be expected.

The problem is you used a setting with noise for analysis. Despite its "advanced" name, it will often make serious errors.

You shouldn't use a setting with noise for analysis or tutor. Supremo or World class should be instantaneous or nearly so on everything but the oldest machines and for the latter Expert will do.

IMHO, the real bug is that these weaker settings are allowed in the GUI. They should be only available for the computer as an opponent, not for analysis or tutor. If a sophisticated user find a situation where he needs them, he could always set them from the CLI.

To duplicate: Play a cash game against the computer with tutor mode enabled (notify on "doubtful").  When the computer doubles and the play is a clear "pass", click "hint".  The hint box will normally tell you that this is a take, which is wrong.  (If the double is during the bearoff stage, the hint will be correct, but earlier in the game it is usually wrong)  Click on "eval".  The probabilities will change and it will correctly tell you to "pass".
My analysis settings: Advanced
My settings for computer player: User Defined
0-ply look ahead
Cubeful evaluations checked
noise for checker play: .023 (deterministic)
noise for cube play: .026 (deterministic)

I don't think the player settings affect the error, but they may help you recreate it.
