Hate to say this, but using '-s hunspell' works fine for me, as does setting speller to 'hunspell' in .nanorc. Im sure we wont be hearing the end of the alternative speller discussion, but until nano grows support for some sort of GUI front-end I'm going to resist doing this.
Half of this bug sounds like a complaint against dpkg for not knowing what the current language the user is using, or something...
