Adding a pair of vectors (n by 1 matrices) produces a flattened bunch (or a 1 by n matrix). I'd expect it to produce another vector:

On the other hand, adding (for example) two 3x2 matrices does produce the expected 3x2 matrix as a result; this problem seems to be specific to vectors.

This is with JACAL 1c1 (and scm 5e6).
