I'm not certain what the default languages for --include are.

From the info documentation:

The `--include' option names LANGUAGES whose source files should be scanned and incorporated into the ID database.  By default, all languages known to the ID utilities are enabled.

However, from the --help:

  $ mkid --help
  Usage: mkid [OPTION]... [FILE]...
  Build an identifier database.
  [...]
  -i, --include=LANGS     include languages in LANGS (default: "C C++ asm")

It would probably be OK to leave out the experimental scanners from the "all known languages" (if mentioned in the help), but the Java and Text scanners are not flagged as experimental.

Thanks,
  Ruben
