Latest news is in addition to the install dir customization configure switches we know have a separate rule for installing the plugins: make install-plugins.

Miriam, can you confirm it's all fine now ?

There's now also --with-kde-configdir and --with-kde-appsdatadir
plus --with-kde-pluginprefix to set them all (useful for setting to  $HOME/.kde for a user-install).
The default is system wide.

I've committed a patch using kde-config to find the default
installation paths for kparts plugin, falling back to
the old hard-coded $(libdir)/kde3 - $(prefix)/share/services
if kde-config is not found and providing explicit install
directories:

--with-kde-plugindir
--with-kde-servicesdir

libklashpart.la installation should be `kde-config --install module --expandvars`, with `kde-config --path module` listing all scanned paths.

'kde-config --install services --expandvars' should be used as the default directory for installing the plugin for konqueror, and a switch should be provided in the ./configure script to override it.

klash_parts.desktop file must be in one of the kde service dirs

libklashpart.la file in a dcopserver scanned dir (usually /usr/lib/kde{3,4}/)
