a forwarded bug http://bugs.debian.org/429212

$ echo $no_proxy

$ echo $http_proxy

doesn't work, wheras

$ echo $no_proxy

does work. This means that removing * from the domains makes it work.

The problem is that afaik other programs work with the * in the domain.
