Agreed.  Another GCL user has recently expressed interest in improving
the documentation, who is cc'ed in thie reply.  Perhaps the two of you
would like to put together some patches to the info/*.texi files?

it seems that documentation is lacking on explaining how to access the filesystem to do basic operation load a file, change working directory,..
I'm used to the allegro cl where you use top-level commands commands like ":cl", ":ld" for load, ":his" for history and so on but they are not implemented here.
this is something that probably will make people just go away and try another products even before getting to know GCL good points..
