Hi,

please note this discussion:

http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/help-make/2006-01/msg00018.html

I wrote a small patch that adds another option -P filename.  The filename will be opened and assigned to a "FILE* database".

If -P is not given, "database" is assigned from stdout.

"database" is further used whenever anything from the database is printed.

This makes make write its database into a file, if chosen by -P.

Please note that i'd like to write another patch that writes the debug information into a file.

Best regards,
Torsten.
